Comprehension reading with Universal Learning Desing by. Carolina Alberto


Topic: Develop a design instruccional model base on Universal Learning Design (ULD) for the increst of reading comprehension in student of 4th grade.

Goal of Instruction:  After a reading of a folkloric history the student will demonstrate the reading comprehension writing a spinoff story associate being him one of the principal person in the history

Rationale: This knowledge is critical in 4th grade, the students needs how to read, decode the meaning of the history and recode to write it in his own words, that I named “spontaneous writing”,  this is the way that can be validated that the student know how to read and write.
 The process of reading is associate to writing, and in my field of work, it is the principal reason that the teacher send the student to an Especial Education Classroom, because a children with 9 year, should be reading fluid a writing imaginative stories.
The intent of this instruccional design is to use Universal Learning Design, which will make the activity more inclusive. The intention is to work with the potential of the student, different types of learning, different ways to learn, on his rhythm.

Description / Background of Learner (who would need this instructions): The content is manageable because it can be designed in several steps, begin simple and level up the difficulty. If the student have basics reading and writing, with motivation and respecting his difference type of learning, this knowledge could be done in 20 minutes. 
This is an intellectual skill, now the evolution of a child and how they learn to read and write, the association with Universal Learning Design, that is a new paradigm in learning associated with technologies.
